Maxime Gauberti, winner of an ERC Consolidator Grant University of Caen Normandy

The ERC grant, awarded by the European Research Council, is Europe’s most prestigious form of funding, recognizing scientists from all disciplines for the excellence of their work. Maxime Gauberti, a neuroradiology researcher at the University of Caen Normandie, is the lucky winner of an ERC Consolidator Grant 2024.
Maxime Gauberti is one of 328 laureates from all over Europe to benefit from an ERC Consolidator Grant, with his €1,970,480 project “Targeting tertiary lymphoid structures using magneto-margination”. The ERC Consolidator Grant is awarded to scientists at the start of their career – 7 to 12 years after completing their thesis – who wish to strengthen their research team. This funding will enable him to pursue his research into a method for targeting abnormal groupings of immune cells. This ambitious project paves the way for major advances in the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory diseases and cancers.
Maxime Gauberti is a neuroradiologist, Senior Registrar at Caen Normandy University Hospital, and Deputy Director of the tPA and neurovascular disorders team in the Physiopathology and Imaging of Neurological Disorders unit (PHIND), BB@C Institute, GIP Cyceron.
