Archaeological Map of Gaul

Title

The CAG brings together more than 120 volumes and covers more than 85 departments. A publication as well appreciated by the scientific community as by the general educated public, it now requires a real digitization project to ensure the best possible archiving of its data and further expand its dissemination space.

The aim of this digitization is to set up an XML structure respecting the recommendations of the TEI adapted to archeology (excavation notes, site descriptions, etc.). The structure will make it possible to explore all of the information gathered in the CAG volumes with tools exploiting the multiple advantages
of a structured corpus (contextual search engine, research files, etc.).
